A social contract, a hustler’s long game,
To piss down your back and tell you it’s rain.
An idol of brass smiles fatly, serene,
From its dais in the shrine: overseeing the scene.

Rooks circle your head; filch the sweat from your brow.
The scammers who steal your future and your now:
Their hooks deep within you, out for all they can get.
Their greed has not reached its apogee yet.

The world game;
Sucking the life from your veins.

Brown envelopes in the back of the hand,
Deals in back rooms and the scratching of backs,
Right hand washes left and the left washes right,
They feather their nests as they’re bleeding you white.

The crooks get your votes: it’s a mandate to steal
By a world watching on, wanting in on the deal,
To join them, not beat them, take a piece of the pie.
On brazen wings, dreams of avarice fly.

The world game;
Sucking the life from your veins.
The world game;
A cess-pool of graft, our disgrace.

You’re caught in a trap and you can’t escape.
It’s all been sewn up, all the angles are played.
Treated like cattle and milked to the grave.
Picked at like carrion for the length of your days.

The parasites clutch, burrow into your skin,
Work into the marrow and corrupt from within.
At the end you accept, meekly without a fight,
You’re lost and for the rest of your life.
